Our Purpose

Kids Empowered has facilitated events & programs for more than 200,000 kids, parents, and teachers since 1998.

From Metro Detroit to Lexington, Kentucky, to Migori, Kenya, we get the message across through crafts, interactive discussions, role-playing, games, fitness and FUN!

Our Mission

  • Teach kids the skills to handle relational aggression, problems, conflicts and opportunities.
  • Build confidence, self-esteem, social skills and character.
  • Inspire kids to stand up for themselves and others.
  • Provide parents and schools with training and tools to stop bullying and relational aggression.

Our Philosophy

We do not believe in using fear of tragic incidents like Columbine or punishment as a way to “scare” students into not being mean. Children will choose to do the right thing when given the skills, tools and a supporting environment.  We do this by:

  • Provides programs that teach skills, increase awareness and understanding of the issues.
  • Creates structure and a process for schools to manage the issues.
  • Inspires kids and adults to take a stand against meanness and to do the right thing.
  • The Kids Empowered curriculum teaches children not to be victims, but to use their voice and their power in a way that makes a difference in the world.
  • We do not tell kids who to be, but teach them the skills and awareness needed to choose who they want to be.
  • We teach kids to be EMPOWERED!

How Do We Do This?

We provide coaching & counseling for:

  • Kids who are bullied or picked on
  • Kids who need to build confidence and self-esteem
  • Kids dealing with anxiety and stress
  • Kids who need to work on social skills
  • Parents who seek strategies to help their kids with everyday issues
